manolo | 02 Septiembre, 2009 12:44

Recently Slackware 13 has been released , and , just for fun I tried to access the s alck linux box from a Windows Xp in the same lan.
You have to install Xming in the windows Pc , and activate the xdmcp in the salckware box.
To do this , just edit the file /etc/kde/kdm/kdmrc
and change the lines
[xdmcp]
Enable=false

por:

Enable=true
and remove the #
Port=177

Once You install the Xming aplication , just run and You will get the kdm welcome screen to do the login in the salck box.
Its a funny way to learn see the windows side screenshot , whith salckware running remotely

kde windowsxp
